What we collect
When you submit an inquiry, we receive your name, email address, optional phone number, message, and any item category or location you provide. Formspree processes the submission for delivery to us. Do not send payment card details or other sensitive records in an inquiry. No payment is taken on this website.
How we use it
We use your details to reply to your enquiry and, where relevant, to arrange a walkthrough or a preview appointment. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
Form handling
Formspree receives and processes inquiry submissions on our behalf. Its storage and processing are described in the Formspree privacy policy. Submission details are used to reply to your inquiry, not to subscribe you to marketing.
Auction alerts
Email alert signup takes place on HiBid. You choose whether to subscribe there, and HiBid handles the subscription under its own privacy policy. Text alerts are not currently available through this website.
Bidding happens elsewhere
Registration, bidding, invoicing, and payment all take place on HiBid, which is a separate company with its own terms and privacy policy. Any account you create, and any card details you provide, are held by HiBid and not by us. Please review their policy before registering to bid.
Website analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand page visits and whether visitors use contact links, auction links, and email signup links. We do not send inquiry contents, names, email addresses, phone numbers, catalog search terms, or URL query strings as analytics event data. Analytics does not use cookies to identify you across websites. See the Vercel analytics privacy information.
Third parties
Pages on this site link to and display auction information from HiBid, and our contact page embeds a Google Maps frame. Those services may set their own cookies or collect technical information when their content loads. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
Administrative Google API services
Where our administrative tools use Google API services for email management and business operations, our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We access only the data needed to provide the service requested, we do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it. Access can be revoked at any time through your Google account permissions.
Retention
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to answer it and to maintain ordinary business records. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.
Your choices
To ask what we hold, to correct it, or to have it deleted, email dorshorstauctions@gmail.com or call (608) 628-1631. We will respond within a reasonable period.
Children
This site is not directed to children. Bidders must be at least 18 years old to take part in an auction.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here with a revised date.
